Go-Create Grants are offered as part of the Innovation Support for Business (ISfB) Phase 2 programme, to support innovation projects within tech and non-tech businesses.

We are now offering a final round of capital grants with a maximum 75% grant rate .

ABOUT GO-CREATE:

Go-Create Grants are offered as part of the Innovation Support for Business (ISfB) Phase 2 programme. Grants are available to any existing small to medium-sized enterprise (SME) based anywhere in England but must demonstrate an economic benefit within Oxfordshire, as long as the applicant fulfils the necessary criteria and conditions that appear in the guidance documents. The aim of the fund is to provide flexible grants designed to assist SMEs to implement innovation projects, to develop prototypes and prove concepts to assist with early-stage development work and the exploitation of intellectual property; or to promote the use of innovation to bring new products, processes or services to the market. In this final round of the Go-Create programme we are able to offer capital grants only and for projects with a minimum value £20,000 total costs.

Examples of innovation projects might include:

  • Investment in product and service development
  • Technological and applied research
  • Developing pilot lines
  • Early product validation actions
  • Supporting advance manufacturing capabilities
  • First production

Go-Create Grants are available on a competitive basis to eligible tech and non-tech businesses toward the cost of eligible externally incurred capital expenditure as part of an innovation activity.

Grants are funded through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) programme and will be allocated via a competitive grant competition across the length of the programme, unless funding has been fully committed prior to that date.

GRANT APPLICATIONS

Go-Create capital grants support the production and creation of assets (including asset purchases and equipment) as part of innovation projects to develop prototypes and prove concepts to assist with early-stage development work and the exploitation of intellectual property; or to promote the use of innovation to bring new products, processes or services to the market.

Projects must be a minimum £20,000 total costs (minimum £15,000 grant) and include capital expenditure only. Due to the limited time remaining in in the programme, applicants must be able to defray all expenditure by 31st July 2022. Individual items must cost no more than £24,999 each to avoid applicants from having to pursue a lengthy procurement procedure before July.

In order to receive an application pack, you will need to first watch the recording of the Go-Create grants webinar on the Go-Create webpage and/or to have a conversation with a member of the ISfB team. There is also a grant guidance pack to read alongside the application and a FAQ document which you may find helpful too.

The grant rounds are a competition and we strongly suggest you allow enough time before a grant deadline to put your application together.

GRANT APPLICATION DEADLINE DATES

Applications must be submitted by the cut-off of midday on the closing date for this round Monday 23rd May. Applications received after the cut-off will not be accepted.

We aim to let applicants know within 21 days of the closing date of whether or not their application has been successful. You will be advised as early as possible if there is likely to be a delay.

We encourage potential applicants to watch the latest grants webinar recording prior to the deadline for each round so that they may find out more about eligible projects and how to apply.

The webinar will cover:

  • Eligibility requirements
  • Application process
  • What a good application looks like
  • What other support is available for starting-up, growing and innovating within your business

Please note that our webinar was recorded for a previous round and that some of the information is therefore out of date. Revenue grants are no longer available; we are only able to offer capital grants in this final round of Go-Create.
